Making money with AI in 2026

Let the robots do the work so I can write poetry and fly kites

It’s 2026 and AI has entered the public zeitgeist. The most viewed page on earth, Google, pushes it down our throats, it’s in the news, it’s in the blogs.

I’ve been using it bit by bit since ~2019.

First it was just a thing that could generate realistic-ish sounding new articles.

Then it could chat about just about anything

Then it could code

Now there are systems being built around it. Some of them sound like complex orchestration.

Others are just a for loop (ralph)

My question in 2026 is this: Can AI make me money?

I have a ton of ideas for making money in a variety of notes. But very little time to do most of them.

So with a ChatGPT subscription in hand, and a script that runs agents which can build and review code, I’m going to see if I can bring some ideas to life and make some cash.

It’s mid Feb 2026, there are a few projects that I’ve been tinkering with here and there with. Now I’m going to give them up completely to AI. Everything.

Building the projects, getting the word out and monetizing them.

I’ll chat with the AI, give it my vision and goals, get it to scaffold out TODOs, then let it do the work. I want to do as little as possible.

The Projects

A Consulting company

I’ve been doing some small side projects for various people and orgs of the decades. I want to go official and not just be a guy with a side hustle, but an actual consulting agency.

AI will help me setup the site, market it on social media, help me with lead generation and even email customers, and then do their work too.

An AI goals helper app

I think right now all the apps our there are notification heavy (I’m looking at you Duolingo)

Instead I want something that learns the user habits and gives them gentle nudges.

Same deal, AI will build it and help me market it and come up with a monetization plan.

At the end of 2026 I’ll share results on how much it’s made me
